Welcome to Miss Barbara's ABCs! We are truly concerned about the well being of each child enrolled in our child care program. Our low child/teacher ratio will ensure your child a structured environment. The children enrolled in our child care program will grow through a “back to the basics” curriculum, planned activities, nutritious meals and a structured environment. Miss Barbara’s ABCs’ policies are set forth and governed for the good of all children both as a whole as well as individually. All parents can be assured that the well being of their child(ren) will never be jeopardized or compromised.

Miss Barbara's ABCs was started in 1999 after I had been laid off of numerous corporate jobs. I attended the Career Development Center at Skyline High specializing in child development. After graduating from high school I attended UTA, SMU and DeVry Institute of Technology. I did not actually pursue working with children until after being laid off for the 3rd time from a position in a corporate entity. Working with children had always been my passion so I opened a registered center out of my home. In 2006 I moved the center to my church and then in 2008 we moved to our current location.

I have been an advocate for children for many years both as a volunteer and in board member capacities. I served as a Girl Scout leader, as a troop services manager in east Fort Worth and on the board of directors for many years. I have served as a volunteer on the local and council level of FWISD PTAs and as a board member of United Cerebral Palsy. It is my belief that children are never too young to learn. Working in partnership with parents as the first educators of their children will ensure that children get the optimal opportunity to be successful in school, become lifelong learners and excel in life.

Parents are welcome to visit our child care anytime during regular business hours. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
